avon AV something or the other... 36? on the rear.  I don't remember what on the front.

My rear avon is kind of square though.. cause it takes an hour of riding to get the the twisties

Quote from: dnorwooI went with stock sizes and they perform great,  I would just go with stock sizes.:)

Why go with larger? :dunno:

I use my GS as a commuter so I like the (slightly) larger contact patch the 140 tire provides.  But I also take trips to the mountains/twisties so I don't want to throw the handling off too much.  Hmm .. decisions, decisions.  I'll probably just stick with 130.  Thanks for the feedback!

Out of curiosity, what kind of lifespan are you getting?

I put 400miles on them so far so it is hard to say.
They still have nipples

my sport demons just got here.

Why does my front 110 looks so skinny? It's totally disportionate.  And looks a lot smaller than my  stock 110.

Avon HKM AM51/52's, better and cheaper than stock in every conceivable way.  Good wet grip, good dry grip, great turn-in, great wear life, awesome price.  I drag pegs on rare occasion on these no problem, but there are better tires for trackheads.

Jonah, did you verify it's a 110/70 on the sidewall?  Maybe they goofed and sent the wrong size.  Mine will hopefully arrive in a week or so.

they are what i have on my bike and I am very happy with them.
Looks like you and I are about the only ones using Michelins.  I have the radials- Pilot Road on the front and Macadam90 rear, both in the stock sizes.  They have been great, although I only get about 10,000km from a rear.

I run the Pirelli Sport Demons, stock size. I'm very pleased with them.  I just upgraded to the Progressive springs with 15W fork oil.  It really feels planted now, especially in the corners.

I use Pirelli MT75.

They are cheap inexpensive, and very sticky, but they will not last much doing knee dragging.

Driving them easy, they will last 10000 miles.

juno

I ordered stock size Pirelli Sport Demons.  They should be in and mounted this week.

Stock size Pirelli Sport Demons.

The bike had the original tires on it (5k miles, but 10 years old) when I bought it 3 months ago. The Pirellis are FAR superior. More stable, better grip.

Shinko "006 Podium" V rated radials... 110/70 Front and 140/60 rear.  Very happy with them.  Saw them in an earlier post and decided to try them out based on their specs and price... ran me about $110 for the pair.

B-45s, I know folks here like em a lot and for commuting they are awesome you get alot of miles out of them but for the twisties and knee draggin they suck or maybe I just dont have the skillz to use em yet ... I have HEARD that the Sport Demons or the M1s are awesome but you lose mileage ...

VersOne

Got like 70 miles on my new sport demons.  I went  with stock 110 in front and 140 in back.  No problem at all fitting the rear.

I still have about an inch of slippy slick stuff on both sides.  I think it's gonna be there for a while...as a noob....it's not like I'm draging stuff.

So far I really love them...but then again, turns out my front tire was completly dry...11 years old!  When I broke the beads, white smoke went flying all over the place and it broke in pieces.
