Well, i worked a deal with a chick in roseville, shes going to make three payments of 500 bucks, but i hang onto the bike AND the pink until all the payments are made. This way, I get all 1500 that I was asking, and It gives me time to find new clipons and controls for the bike. In about a week and a half i get the first payment when she comes down to check the bike out in person.

Sorry to be pessimistic, but there's this thing: If it can go wrong, it will go wrong.  What could happen is you mess up that bike in the meantime and your whole plan falls through.  I think you are safer not to ride it and to consider it hers after her first payment is made.

Im sending the contract off tomorrow for HIM (yea its a he sorry) to sign, and when he signs it he is sending me a deposit via paypal. I get my first $500 on Saturday, JOY!

This kind of "liquidated damages" clause would never stand in court.  No court would let her pay 1499 and you just keep it if she doesn't make the extra dollar.  The amount you keep should be reasonable estimate of what you sacrificed by taking it off the market and not taking another buyer or putting work into fixing it up, like 500 dollars or something.

Good thing im having the contract written up my a lawyer then huh? He'll get all the wording right for me, and make sure everything is legit.

just because a lawyer writes it up doesn't mean it will stand up in court.... BUT... most people don't know and think if they signed it, it is a done deal, I doubt you have much to worry about.

what is the bike like.. for 1500? i know it's honda but.. hell maybe i'll just pay you outright in cash..
of course if you've already got a lawyer...

danny....the bike has seen 10x more down time then ride time in the two months you've had it....I doubt you have such a serious attachment to it yet....that takes at least 3 months and 3 rides (not crashes)....you may have a bit of stockholm syndrome....thinking you have an attachment to your tormentor, but it's really just the fake love most honda owners feel within the first few months of ownership (pablo replies with a here)....once you get back on a suzuki you'll quickly remember what a motorcycle is supposed to be like....
