Good morning everyone.
I've sen several posts on this site over the months from people who have replaced their stock foot pegs with LP Aluminum GSX-R pegs so I got me a set. Last night I went to install and the new pegs don't fit!!! I thought I read in those posts that the LP pegs actually DID fit on the '04??? Anyone have any suggestions???

I have the CBR gold anodized ones on my 04, had to use the dremel and shave a good 1/4" off the sides and bottom to get them to work. Let me see if I can find a pic and if I can't, I'll go out at break in 20 minutes and take a pic.

Thanks for the pic Shane - it looks great. I see that you used the stock bolt and e-ring to hold the peg on - do they fold up and down ok? Were the holes theh right size? The holes on the pegs I have seem to be a tad larger than the stock holes.

Yea, stock bolt and c-clip, I'll still need to shave a little off of the bottom to get them to fold up, but is possible. The holes of the pegs were bigger, but not in the right location, so I dremeled the top of the peg hole about 1/8". Even with all of the material that was shaved off, they are still very strong.

i had to dremel the bottom side for it to fold up.  also, i bought a couple of washers to "tighten" up the fit as they are a bit small.  you'll understand when you decide to put them on.  otherwise its not a bad 20$ to spend.

You only had to dremel the bottom of the pegs? The sides are almost exactly the same size at the mount.

yes, only the bottom, the sides are a bit small hence the washers, u can't see them but they are there.  these are small washers.
