I was at Walmart and unable to find ch6000 by fram.  I was able to get a oil filter by Stp model SM0-00 at autozone.  It is a motorcylce filter which was recommended when they did a look up of the GS500E.  I compared it to the filter that was in my motorcycle at the time.  From the looks of it the one in the cycle was OEM.  I installed the filter and it fit, left the gasket that was on because it was not leaking.  I have heard that the Stp gasket is a little thicker that the OEM.  Anyways if you need a filter and cant find the one you want this is a match also Puralor ML 16800.
   At Walmart I found a spark plug that was for the GS500E in their book.  Champion power sport 8809-1.  Might need to use a gapping tool to make it .35, hope this helps.  Also one question if anyone knows where I can get platinum plugs or cooler plugs for the GS500E.   Thanks
