yeah that's a pretty cool custom plate, how did you get that one?

weaselnoze

ok u know those side bars that the fairings push into?  at the back of those is the stock taillight mounts.  hadda cut those mounts off to push the light back.  then i made some brackets that bolt up with the bolts from the grab bar.  these brackets are teh new mounts for the light.  also the light is flipped upside down.  oh n u like the plate?  i'll make a custom one for u too

nice tail light.  I was thinking of doing that, I would be interested in brackets if you made some.  I have quite a few comments on my bike like "great bike"  "looks nice"  but then I got this one "HOLY CRAP, thats so small compared to my gixxer!"  Oh ya do people walk over to your bike liking it and twist the throttle, nod their head, smile and walk away?  Sorry dont mean to take away from your post.

Take your seat off and take a pic of what you did, I want to see this, that thing looks so much better.

snapper

I does look a sh** load nicer than how the stock sits!  Man nice job!

Yeah take pics of what you did - we wanna see!

ok i'll get the pics up soon.

i cut enough metal at work for 5 sets.  i havent drilled them yet, so if u want a set for ~$5 (is that fair?), let me know so i dont waste my time drilling if no one wants them..

I'll take a set if you don't have to cut off the stock brackets.  Is that necessary?

OR, if the new mounts would work reliably enough to warrant cutting the stockers off, then I'll take a set of brackets too.

yes you do have to cut off the stock mounts to allow the light assembly to push back into the bike.  i'll take a picture momentarily.

tell u what. before i take any money, i'll give it a good ole test drive.  at the time of those pictures, there was only one bracket.  just finished the second a min ago.  gonna bolt it up and test her out.  if there's any bad vibrations, pieces falling off etc, i will find a solution before i make u guys a set.

ok the pics

This is the fairing support.  cut off taillight mount with hacksaw/dremel.  30 seconds.

These are the brackets.  Simple but sweet.

These are the brackets mounted under the grab bar.  the picture was taken looking towards the rear.

I took it for a drive and everything is perfect.  so, does anyone want them?
