My gs history.
94 red gs with 7000 miles, bought last year.
97 red gs with 40000 miles, bought 4 months ago.

Sad news: I had to sell the 97 which was my stunt bike, I sold it locally to a kid that lives across town.  I didnt put it on here cause he had wanted the bike since I got it so i thought I would give him a chance.

Glad news:  Still have the 94 gs which I ride lightly.  She is getting a new paint job right now, bright red to match my helmet.  never been dropped and has a yoshi pipe in here.

Just thought I would let yall know cause I really liked the 97 even though she was a hunk of junk.  Wondering if yall were heart broken too when you let your bike go, even if it wasnt the best looking.

Heartbroken? Build one from the ground up, ride it 14 years and then sell it to take care of business. I cried like a baby. Love my little GS and this forum.

ok ok I wasnt heart broken really, just dissapointed that I dont have a bike that I can rag on and ride hard.   Just my bike that is not in an operating condition cause its getting painted.

Actually, anytime I've had to get rid of any of my bikes I was heartbroken...so I know how you feel. Plus, it's always neat to have two...one to ride while you scheme on the other. Love the Baby White Owl and this forum.

of farkin' course.

my first gs was my first real street bike (i used to ride an old ty250 and then an tz650)  It was a 99 i bought in 2000 with 450 miles and a nice assortment of goodies (bars, mirrors, yoshi pipe, clutch) I was forced to sell it after only having it for 5 months because I was leaving town and didn't have a place or money to put it anywhere.. I also cried, like a heart broken 13 year old girl.
Ok so I was a 21 year old man... I still kinda have a high pitched voice.. go figure.

BUT.. it's definitely made me appreciate my other bikes since then more.

Oh yeah.. love the little gs... and.. yes.. the forum also.

i like the fact my bike only set me back about 1000$ it was part of a traid on a car a guy was buying from me which I used to love untill it went through three motors and i got sick of doing the swaps myself. anyways I like the fact it was cheep because I have no need to sell it. i would get like 1000$ for it . and that doesnt justify enough because I believe its worth alot more for the condition it is in and the work I have put into it. so im safe to buy a new bike and still keep my gs.

but I also save money because I buy old volvos for like 200$ and do a few fixes and they run perfect :) .

but we all have to remember there just pieces of metal we cant take them when we die. I know how it feels to lose a loved vehicle but hey you always fall in love with another right? just like women. they love you and leave you, move on to the next and rock out some more :) .
1991 Suzuki GS500E , a bunch of crap done to it :)
