back to the first page  bump

got the kit last night.  I should be able to send it back out either Saturday or monday (at the latest) barring any serious setbacks.  Gotta turn in my last law school paper on Friday so I can graduate  

ey raylarrabee... what do you think the chances are of you and i catchin up with each other on Sunday and doing our valves together?  I'm a little... ok quite unsure about attempting this on my own.  If you for whatever reason cannot, then maybe i could just pick the kit up from you and save you on shipping...

edit - just saw page 11 and all waiting for the kit... didn't mean to be rude .  So ray... if we can get together whenever you are going to do your valves then great if not, then i'll make other arrangements.

should we let him in?!  haha nah im jk.  so ray u need my address or what?  wait.. i am next right?

WCK (west coast kit) update, was mailed to scooter monday, should be there tomarrow at the latest

yeah, hopefully it will be here today, or friday..I have a whole weekend open and waiting to do this job...Incidentally, if there is anyone else in LA who is looking to do this, maybe we could do a twofer this weekend..I'm in North Hollywood, gonna be doing this in the parking garage under my apt building...yee-haa. :guns:

kit made it here today took a week from oregon to southern cali...I plan on doing this job tomorrow, so unless focer is back on the list, then after me its up for grabs...
(side note-KERRY, the DVD was great, but it has a few scratches on it, which make it skip a bit in two different places...I cleaned it best I could, but just to know-everybody be careful with the DVD)

I would be happy to send a new CD (with a few extra files and an accompanying sheet) to whoever will have the kit next week.  This goes for the "East Coast Kit" too.

ok quick question.  will i need anything in addition to the kit?  like gaskets or anything?  just want to know so i have everything when i get the kit so i can pass it off quickly..

Not unless you tear your valve cover gasket up taking it off, but you shouldn't have any trouble getting it off.

ok so its not a mandatory replacement thing... goood.

OK, I'm finished using the kit...who wants it next? ON a side note...don't loosen the u bracket holding the exhaust camshaft in place to get the tool to fit...cause you might over torque the bolt and break it off in the head...then you might have to take the bike to a mechanic to pull it out...
but at least your valves will be in spec

So who wants the kit next..looks like it might be a good idea to ship the west coast kit over to you east coast guys...

well i thought i was waiting on the kit from raylarrabee. he must have skipped town with it  :lol:. no but seriously where are u man?  u better be workin on ur bike at least! lol

and i'll ask once more before i get the kit, just to be sure.  i dont have to purchase anything to do the adjustment?  if so i want to get it now so i can turn the kit over ASAP!!!  please let me know if there is anything i need!
