so everything is dry
the tank is dry and kreemed
the carbs are dry

before I reassemble and fire it up
is there anything I should double check?
how much fuel should i put in at first?

MR_PINK

i would pull out the plugs and give it a spritzer of oil inside the cylinders to be safe

scratch

You could fill the tank up all the way, turn on the shutoff valve and set the fuel selector to PRI, but the real test will be to see if the float needles will stick open, or not (probably not); or if they get stuck shut, tap on the sides of the floatbowls to free them up.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

While you have the plugs out, replace them..

I use a bit of marvel mystery oil in my gas for the first couple of tanks after a long winter sit..

Of course, my bike doesn't sit for more then 3 weeks during the winter..
There are always those freak 70 drgree days in Jan. and Feb.
