Well i just rev my 15t sprocket, and im just curious how hard an install it is? Should i have it professionally done?  Anyone have a link for install, the only things i know so far is the trans case has to come apart, but you also have to do a chain adjustment which i have never done.  Anyone have an idea. TIA

stick around for a year, and see howmany times it takes to annoy you when people ask the same five questions, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. hell it's almost enough to make you want to start drinking......

Heh i am drinkering   , but anyways i did do a search and i came up with doing the chain adjustment which is fine but im unsure of pulling the tranny case apart, im assuming im going to need fluid and from what i understand the sprocket is going to be held in place with just a snap ring?  :dunno: , not trying to be a prick just had a few q's thats all

poormanracing

pretty cool thread..your not really taking the tranny that much...and no fluid or anything needed it seem...

ok, I'll brake it down shotgun style just for you..
with bike on centerstand take out screws that hold the cover on,
cover falls off.
you see sprocket.
you see snap ring holding sprocket.
you remove snapring. you try to pull chain off.
realize chain needs more slack.
you turn nuts on chain adjusters counter-clockwise.
think it is going to fall apart.
realize that you need to loosen the axle nut to get the tire to move foward. (notice I said loosen not remove)
grabing grab handle push tire foward with foot.
remove sprocket.
instal new sprocket.
adjust chain.
tighten axle nut.
put cover back on.
clean up mess.

I am just wondering but are you a girl, cause yoru posts seem to have a feminen tone, like a girl.

How do you determine how many beers a job is?  By how many beers you can finish or by how drunk you need to be to make the job interesting?
I came here to kick @$$ or chew bubblegum...and it looks like I'm all out of bubblegum.

no your totaly off, it's a time thing, my normal consumption rate is about 3 per hour, if i start before 11, and can spike up to 6 per hour if the sun is going down,  with a maxium consumption total of 30 beers in a 24 hour time period. although exceptions are made if there is a sleep period of more than 3 hours. or if there is guns or motorcycles involved. the time/beer period resets every time you fill tha gas tank on the bike or reload the gun.

update for those who care:
I installed the sprocket myself in 30 min    it was simple
but like the dumbass i am i didn't tighten the swing arm locknut tight enough and went i went for a test ride and romped on it the chain almost flew off, scared the crap outta me, but nothing got damaged and i just retorqued the nut and put a new cotter pin and all was well, but man this bike is so much better with a 15t they should have come factory like that   :)
