RANT - Freakin car alarms

This neighbor in this dump of an apartment complex has a ford ranger.  The alarm goes off every night almost without fail, and it's loud as hell.

You think this butt-noid has the common courtesy to fix it, or turn it off?  Hell no.  When it goes off, it stands me right up and I am not able to go back to sleep.  I haven't had a night with more than 5 hours sleep for a week.

I'm getting really cranky.

The dentist's office downstairs from me has this maintainance guy who would sleep there when his wife kicked him out. He would show up piss drunk at like 4 am several times a week and set off this piercing loud burgular alarm. The dentist lived in another part of the city and it would be hours before he would come and shut it off, meanwhile the cops would bang on our door and question us like we did it... :x  :x

Get his tag number and put in a complaint at least.

get a fake fire hydrant put it next to it, paint the curb red, and have it towed.  and there is always the steal the plate off the back, or for the more sneaky scrape the sticker off.  the nails in the tires is always good.

Ear plugs.

Car alarms are some of the dumbest inventions on the planet.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

I hate living in apartments, trailer parks, the city or even a small town. I like the neighbors close enough that I can go outside naked and never have a worry about it. Love it (the Baby) and this forum.

do you wear shoes too? cause if you don't then you might as well give up your charade, and put your location....Kentucky

cummuterguy

we had a car with an alarm on our block that would go off every night, settings too sensitive or something.

One morning I got up and headed out to work, and had to stop and laugh my ass off, someone had painted "PLEASE STEAL THIS ANNOYING PIECE OF shaZam!" right down the side of the car!

An alarm going off is 'distrubing the peace', call the police and file a complaint.

good judgement trumps good skills every time.

That guy

give the car a reason for the alarm to sound. Throw a brick through the windshield!
