Okay I just got home from the craziest ride of my life.
Heading south on 694 just past of 35E i spot a truck on the side of the road, and from a distance looks like someone is waiving frantically. As i approach i can see its and older man probably in his 60's waiving, so I figure I would be a good person and pull over. Well going from 75-0 takes a little bit and the guy doesnt notice i pulled over. I walk a bit up the road to get to his car, and I am totally nervous about my bike sitting on the side of the road with cars going like 70 miles an hour by. So ask the older guy if needed some help.
He explains that he ran out of gas, and i offer to go ride up the gas station and get him some, i had my back pack with me. He told me that that would take to long and he had to go, so I offered to call him a taxi and he said that also would take to long. No this guy is like your stereotypical old man, and i felt bad. He finally explains that he is the preist at a wedding down on Harriet island in St. Paul and it starts and 7:30, granted it is 7:15. I notice that he has a long jacket on and notice he is in his priest garb on.
I explain that i only have my motorcycle, and he ask if I could give him a ride on it, i am learry to do it but he offers me 50 bucks. I told him not to worry about the money and he wants a ride I will give him one. So a 60 year old priest climbs on the back, puts his breifcase with a bible inside between my back and his chest and grabs tight. I give him my helmet to wear before we go so if,heaven forbid, we go down he will be okay. Right before he goes he tells me to go fast. So I open her up and we gain speed(yeah it takes like 20 minutes to get down there normally)
and I get to about 90 and we fly down 94 south towards St. Paul with the priest holding on really tight.
So we pull into the Harriot Island and the alot of the wedding is standing on the balcony as they see me adn the priest roll up on my GS. THe whole wedding starts laughing and everyone wants pictures. Needless to say we got there at 7:25 and he made me take the 50 bucks and the whole wedding offered me food and thanks once the story was explained.
All in all one of the best rides I have had, and to all those people I passed must have laughed there asses of seeing a preist on a little GS flying past them down a freeway.
Ah.....what a good day

And if you don't believe me, I will take a picture of me and the 50 dollar bill to prove it!!!

Ok, so there's this wino and a priest and...didn't turn out to be what I thought it would be. Good show coll0412. I'm just gonna call you Collie. At any rate, good for you and isn't life grand? Sometimes it gives us such surprises that wind up making our day. I have been in such a piss-poor mood all day, my back hurting, can't ride...and then I read something like this story of yours and it makes me smile. Thank you   . Love the White Owl, Nebraska (go Corn Huskers), and this forum.

Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?
