1st I just wanted to say that the scenery in your neck of the woods is awsome!!!  Its completely flat where Im at + crappy roads

now my question. I noticed on the shots with your bike in them that you have left the warning stickers on the tank and fairings. Is it illegal to remove them? If you do, would you get fined??

MR_PINK

I highly doubt it's illigal, i removed mine and have never had a problem  :dunno:

Take off the stickers, it's not illegal.  Sleep soundly... 8)

i removed mine a couple day i got the bike, one left some of its glue on the fairing though :x

i was just curious since i know that if you remove certain stickers from under the hood of your car and the mechanic reports it you can get fined. Luckily the guy was nice and got GM to send me one

it could possibly be a liability thing with the warranty or somthing.  But I doubt it.  I bought my bike used so no warranty and no stickers.

WD40 will quickly take the glue off.

The only sticker you may not want to remove is the emmission sticker.  It can make things difficult trying to get it registered in another state.  Don't aslme how I know :x

Dpends what country your in, in Australia up until a year or two ago it was illegal to remove the 'Unleaded fuel only' sticker, and it's illegal to remove the exhaust label in some states currently.

i live in canada... im pretty sure its alright but I still find it wierd that some places allow something as simple as sticker removal while others dont

in winnipeg it against the law to carry a bucket of water down portage(a main street) in winter or cut down a tree after 5pm

what abouit your state? any wierd laws

The underhood labels on cars are likely emission labels required by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.  It's useful information especially for a mechanic and potentially for states with vehicle tailpipe testing, but I've never heard of anyone getting fined for removing one.

A safety label on the other hand is strictly a measure driven by a company's legal staff.  Read and remove...
