We were doing a roll on from 50mph, i got up to 110mph in no time, and he passed by me like i was riding a bycicle[/img]

man...know your range.  if you're going to race a v8, do it off the line. 80+ is a weak spot for gs.
My hunch was right...Pandy is the biggest Post Whore!

Pinoy21337

You think i could of took him off the line?  Im starting to ride well, at any given speed in any given gear i can downshift to almost redline for max hp

Pinoy21337

Here are pics of my bike. 95 gse stock, planning to get k&n, jet kit, and slip ons somtime, what do you think?
HEre is a pic of my neon lights

Yea ... I get waxed by 12 year old chineese girls in Volvo station wagons ...
Unless I am on my eli 1000 ... and the road is a straight line ... I wiped the floor with a $80,000 harley once ... actually gave him a couple bike lengths and blew him off the road ...
Cool.

Lets say 9,200 is max hp of 52. If you shift until 10,200 you still have plenty HP but not the max, and as soon as you shift, the next gears rpms will be alot closer to the max HP.

sprint_9

I usually try to shift around 9500, the other night I wound out to 10,500 and it seemed all it did is make a bunch of noise, didnt really feel like I was goin anywhere.  If you do a roll on start at 6 or 7 and she goes pretty decent.

weaselnoze

its to my understanding that shifting at max hp will give u the best acceleration.  after max hp, it doesnt pull as hard.  and where'd 52 come from?  was that just an example number?

TOMIMOTO

You want to try racing me too?

Know your roll b****!!!

hahaha, just kidding. I'm going to get bashed for this.

I remember my GS days of getting smoked by Honda Civics and Nissan Sentras on the highway. When they start pulling on you just get off the gas and pull yourself out of your crouch and make it look like you're not trying. That's what I usually did.

Tomimoto, does anybody ever even try to race you now on the RR?

All the time. More so now than when I had my 2004 500F.

I don't promote racing on the street but I do play around with people at times.

my bike got owned by a cadillac.

I'll probably be mocked for this, but I got beat by a 16 year old girl in a V6 trans-am once.

In my defence, I was having clutch cable problems (adjuster decided to come loose in stop-and-go traffic just before then) and carb issues that day.
