here are a few pics of my bike, it's ugly and has the custom one cylinder converions (it's called broken). but it does have stainless steel brake lines, and Bob B style ignition advancer (home made, love the dremel tool). i t also has mis matched mirrors and as buell turn signals, and as much stuff cut off as i possibly could.

The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.

rat bikes are where it's at. well actually i just don't have any money to make it awesome right now :( but some day, it will be sweet! al least i hope so.

in reality i paid too much for it, it seemed liek a decent price, but there was alot wrong that didn't come to light for a few months ( in some cases 8 months).

but i like it. and i pay almost nothing to fuel and insure it (now if i could just drive it!).

it's small, and good, and relatively cheap.

i'm hoping to get a used sv650 (03 or 04) or a bandit 1200 (96 +)
but that won't be for a little while.

went to the zuki dealer today, they had a fresh bandit1200 2005 that they had just taken out of the crate ( it was  in the crate when i arrived, and they removed it while i was talking) i was the first person to sit on it. i was like "ohhhh... i want this!" i love the standard style bikes.

also sat on a 2005 gsxr 1000. that is the only bike that has made me nervous without even being turned on. it is scary small, but makes damn near as much power as a hayabusa (sat on the busa too, kinda comfortabl, in a sporty 200 mph way). that gsxr 1000 was spooky.

enough rambling. i'll take some pics of me with the bike once i get it on the road and out of the garage.

peace.

The word that immediately springs to mind is "litterbox", especially with the cat showing such interest in it.
Is it the last GS in captivity to have a stock exhaust?

if i have my way the exhaust won't be stock for long.

and yes, 8 track it is. plus radio! right now i use it with an old record player that has ben added since the pic was taken, i play used records from the good will. classic opera all the way.

i do have a host of things in my garage that are odd, like the 55 gallon drum in the corner. i need to have a meet matt reed (my real name) thread, and post a bunch of pics.

That rear tire looks like a car tire it's so flat.  Ride on some roads that have curves once in a while.  But, get that replaced before you do.  It'll be like riding on a knife edge as you drop into the turns.

OTW, yea, rat bike...  Dirty rat bike.

Good luck, the GS is EASY to fix.

Ry_Guy

Any good snowboarding to do in your area?

Church6360

the rear isn't as flat as it looks, it was way underinflated, and has garage floor dust only in the center from being pushed back and fourth all winter.

and there are woefullly few decent spots to snowboard around here, there is a place snowtrails near mansfield, and one called clear fork somwhere else. snowtrails is the best around here (not saying much).

mad river mountain, not sure exactly where that is at, but it is a decent days drive.

the best place i've ever been is some place outside of grand junction colorado, very nice.

Yea, Ohio seems a lot like Illinois, the only skiing is at the overpass on the freeway.  Eastern Ohio is nice though, fairly hilly.

Grand Junction CO???  What skiing is there?  You should have stopped in the REAL mountains about 100 miles west of Denver.  Try Tahoe some day, beautiful sights while skiing.

Church6360

i forget the name of the place near grand junction, but it whomped on anything in ohio by a wide margin.
