im sorry but im gonna be an ass and laugh about this one:

when i was riding to the DMV to take my road test I saw this guy pulling out of the DMV on "a waste of money" cough I mean scooter and he looked pretty embarassed and pissed, he was in a business suit too which was weird expecially when its 90 degrees outside, but i guess i didnt look too smart either i was in a Joe rocket leather Jacket sweating my balls off, anyways so i go in to take the road test and before all the title issues came up this lady that worked there says " i hope your good, that Road course is TIGHT, a guy just dropped his scooter on himself and walked away pretty scuffed up," I chuckled I coudlnt help it, it was too funny cause then i realized it was that guy riding off. anyways she goes " what size bike do you ride?" I said " 500cc gs500e, " she goes " i wouldnt be laughing then cause its a hard course" I said " dont worry ive already dropped my bike, its cool im not too worried" lol

well on the upside, at least he can pick up his ride and tuck it under his arm and be on his way home.

Or stuff it in a backpack and ride the bus home...

Really though...  A friend of mine has an old Vespa and we ride together...  I don't let him lead anymore because that F'ing thing is so easy to whip around.  When the roads are torn beyond belief, he's still going 45 because he can flick it around like a 10-speed...  I'm sure some of you can do that with the GS, but I'm not there yet.

When I lead...  I always want to head for the freeway.    BASTARD!!

Virginias is supposed to be hard as hell. Might as well just take the msf to waive the road test.

I took my DMV test for my license down here in Texas. Took the test on a computer, then rode around the block. Yeah, I rode around the block and then they gave me my license. A square block, too, nothing fancy.

So basically ride around the block without crashing and you get your license. Oh, and you have to signal. Then some people still don't do it, go figure.

the test we took at the msf course is identical to one from the dmv...they basically test you on everything. 8 figure turns, swerving, emergency stop, cornerning, lane changing and of course the wheelies and stopies

my friend didnt take the msf he went to the dps here in texas and they had him ride around the block, way easy in Texas.  He even stalled it and almost tipped his bike over and the officer didnt say anything.  Ya just like eklipse says, its easy in TX.

when we go down to the Keys (8 hour trip from me) we usually take a car and leave it at the hotel and rent those little scooters they have all over the place down there. (I haven't been since I bought the GS)

Anyway, those stupid things top out at 35 mph, but they do maneuver really well at that speed. All in all, considering the speed limit is 30 mph on the whole island of Key West, and considering how many drunks are tooling around, the scooter does serve a purpose down there. It's also a lot easier to park in the crowded parts.
