Just got my flange, looks really good!  But what about that itty bit of rust?  Should I just paint the thing with some high temp paint?  Hope I can put my D&D on this weekend!!

raylarrabee

got my package today.  Doing bar study, so I promised myself I wouldn't even open it until Sunday when I have a break to work on my bike.

Looking forward to getting back on the road with my new setup  :thumb:

got mine mounted.  Fits perfectly on both ends.  The seal between the flange and the can seem very tight.

Good job, Srinath!

All-in-all, the valve adjustment, re-jet, K&N lunchbox and the exhaust makes it feel like a whole new bike...too bad the mods didn't make me a better rider  :(

what do you do about the centerstand once you install the flange?

I had no problems with the centerstand after installation.

Mine pops up darn close to the chain.. so I am looking forward to seeing some things that folks have done.  I only noticed because I hit it with my left foot on the peg!  I would like to be able to do something to keep ot a tad lower like where it had been.

Mine does not, but I think there is some variance in the flanges (and where people cut their headers) so I suppose it is possible that one could.

Here is a quote from another thread that explains what to do about the center stand

Quote from: Jake DThere are a couple photos in the Member Bikes wall of fame, 5th page, where Srinath shows you where to cut the stock pipe.  The rest is pretty much simple.  Clean the area on the stock pipe with a sander/grinder, some WD-40.  Zip tie a piece of car tire to the right leg of the center stand.  Slip the mid-pipe on.

I'd like one if the holes will line up with those of a GSXR can.

What you mean line up with GSXR can ... a 96-99 GSXR wileyco is what was used to make these ... so they do fit to that ...
Cool.
