OK, I guess it's time to explain myself.

I am what is sometimes called "The Devils Advocate".  I enjoy giving others a counter view.  On EVERYTHING.  If you say one thing, I will say, what about the other.  If you are for something, I give reasons against.  Likewise, if you are against, I give reasons for.

Do I HATE everyone who isn't lilly white?  NO, a resounding NO.  Do I have problems with SOME members of minorities?  Yes, of course.

I do want very much for you to open your eyes and see for yourself some of the things that go on in this world.  I DON'T want you to take at face value EVERYTHING you're told in school, in the media, from friends and family.  Many times you don't get the whole story.

I am NOT the raging lunatic that many of you think I am.

I DO believe that certain minorities need to pull more of their own weight.

I DO believe that we have a serious problem with illegal immigration.

I DO believe that religion IS a root cause of MANY of the worlds problems.

I DO believe we are in danger from fundamentalist Islam.

I have in the past used exaggerations to bolster my position.  I have argued points that were "over the top".  I have made blatently disparaging remarks towards peoples, to strengthen my argument.

My intention was always to simply "open your mind" a bit.  To get you thinking.  To see that there IS another side to most EVERYTHING.

I guess it was kerrys post that got me to thinking.

With 5-6 threads open ALL against me, I decided the time was right to "come clean".

Remember always:  Rarely is anything as it first appears and the truth is rarely as simple as it seems.

If I REALLY upset anyone with my remarks, I appologize to you.

This doesn't mean I "give up", or "I lost", you know me better than that!  It simply means that I'm aware of my sometimes "insensitivity" towards others and I'm sorry if I caused you undue pain.

I TRULY, NEVER had ANY bad feelings towards ANY of you.  Many I respect for your willingness and ability to express your feelings.  Some need to work on self expression.

Suzuki10, to you I appologize for taking an honest question and twisting it into a tirade.

I can be VERY insensitive towards others when caught up in a "battle".

Funny thing is, at work everyone loves me, I am VERY friendly, and have a hundred or so fairly close aquantances (of all races/ethnicities/genders).  Hmmm, maybe it's the anonyminity here that brings out my devilish side?

Don't think I'm done questioning you!  I will STILL make you think.  I will continue to challange your ideas/ideals.

all good...like i said before..i got nothing against you as a person.  i don't agree with A LOT of your views because they are mostly "self interest" type but I still like a person who expresses their views regardless.  

A lot of times you do get caught contradicting yourself which I think fuels others to "hate" you or dislike you.  I'm sure its just a forum thing.  

I've had people hate me for my views too, but oh well, that's life, you can't please everyone.

Do you have any idea how condescending you sound?  I'm not sure what speaks more poorly of you:

(a) The fact that you seem to believe you are doing people a service by being a jerk on an anonymous online forum,

(b) That you fancy yourself a master of deep thought and rhetoric, or

(c) That you believe you have some ability and/or duty to educate us on the true state of the world and thereby open our eyes and minds.

Please do not mistake this as me "hating" you.  I simply pity you that this is how you find pleasure or purpose in your life.  

If you truly want to encourage intelligent debate, try engaging in intelligent debate.  Being a contrarian bomb-thrower marks you as a small person and severely undercuts your ability to do anything but make people think less of you.  If you want to have an honest discussion of personal beliefs, value systems and current events, try being honest and speaking with conviction about something you truly believe in.

Soo, basically, to sum up this "Apology"

- You are purposefully antagonistic
- You're still A Racist/Bigot
- You try to get people to "open their minds" to YOUR point of view
- You are well loved by your ethnic friends in spite of your racism.
- You will continue to do this

You seem to be the only one who takes this seriously--by that I mean that you seem to take some measure of your self-worth by looking at your ability to incite "debate" in an online forum.  

I find picking fights, in general, to be the mark of small men (not speaking of physical stature here), and picking fights online to be the mark or small, unhappy men.

In particular, I find the idea of getting your jollies by coming to a very civil, friendly, and incredible usefull (3 very rare traits in the online world) forum and throwing chum in the water to be both pathetic and counter-productive.  This site is a PERFECT compliment to the sport/hobby of motorcycling, and it is a shame that you (and a handfull of others) constantly sully the waters with debate-team-dropout rants about race, religion and other hot-button topics.

Well...the game may become fun again after all. Love the little twin, Alabama (even with Joerocker in it  :lol: ), and this forum.
