ok so I have oil leaking out of my flywheel cover what the hell is there a seal behind the flywheel also when I take the cover off there are several spots where I can see the crankcase whats that???????? anyone with a little experience help out please :x

also if there is a seal is it internal or external if it is internal I have to scrap the project for now

OK what flywheel ... left side or right ??? Left has alternator, stator, rotor on the crank and starter clutch behind it ... and that part of the case has some huge holes where you can stick a finger in and touch your crank. Right side has clutch and in front is the ignition which is dry ... so where you leaking oil ... new gaskets should take care of either ...

the left side is "wet"  just replace the gasket and you will be fine.

check my site there are actually pictures of the engine in half, mind there a two irratating pop ups, one you can close, you might see what you want to know
