New house, bad wiring, poor quality

The electrical wiring in this house is so poorly done.  In the ceiling fan outlets the live wires are exposed and not even capped off with wire nuts.  I can't believe it passed inspection.  One outlet didn't work because the neutral wasn't ever connected, same with a GFCI outlet :roll:

The fixtures leaked, neither toilet flushes right, dishwasher door wouldn't shut right, cuts in the vinyl...all stuff I'm fixing myself because their cure is worse than the original problem.  It's sad to say, but I could have built the house better myself without even trying.

Still we are happy with it.  It's big, open and airy.

Man, it makes me realize how well built my last home was...

Dont worry I did the same ting, did the walk through, everything seemed ok.  Then you move in and find all this stuff is wrong with it, and think why did I check that before.... but hey you have a house!!!
throw the leg over, fire it up, hold on.  drive it like you stole it.
