8) If any of you fellow GSers are fans of the band Staind, check out
//www.staindstreet.com

Register to become a member. If they accept you, promotion materials will be sent to you. I have yet to receive mine. You then let them know what you do to promote the band and the new album. Points are given based on what you have done and those points can be put towards tickets, your items, etc. You also get chances for backstage and meet&greets.

If anyone is interested I guess. If not, then my work here is done...

So is this a genuine GSer letting us all in on one of his passions, or is it just some advertising stuff from someone with no interest in the GS500?
If it's the former, well, it's not really my style but thanks for sharing.
If it's the latter, do we really have to put up with this invasion?  Mods?

I am a GSer.  :) I have a Yellow 04F. As far as mods;the mandatory fenderectomy, LP Carbon front/rear ts, my carbon hugger is on the way from Airbrush, K&N filter, exhaust(not sure what though) and Srinath's bars are probably next on the list. Wileyco seems the easiest w/ Srinaths flange. :thumb: Measuring up for frame sliders, no progress yet. :(

And as far as the passion part goes, I listen to everything. I am a DJ on the side. The Staind "passion" is I want free shaZam!. I am a huge fan I admit. The avatar and sig will change in about a month. Just by becoming a promoter I get free shaZam! in the mail, chances for a meet&greet, free tickets, stuff like that.

I have plenty of Motorhead and Bad Company on my drives. But nobody feeds me anything, as I'm sure you don't get fed either. We listen to what we like, drive what we like and of course ride the GS b/c we like it. Ur  8) with me, not that you needed my approval.

If that's all you have to do to get freebies that you'll like, good luck to you.  :thumb:   Gotta be better than a lot of incentive programs.

You should check out this band:
Evil Twin

Local Seattle Rock Band...  (One of the VERY VERY VERY few rock band in Seattle).

EMO BAD! :nana:

RVertigo

Yup...

I like 'em...   :thumb:

The Seattle Rock Scene is a bit of a joke...  Most bands around here are trash-punk or Emo...  BLEH!

Don't get me wrong... I like punk, but most of the punk bands around here just suck.

I disagree.  I think the Seattle rock scene is very strong right now.  Maybe you are going to the wrong venues.
Check some of these out;
Counterfist
Enkrya
AlkaiDiggins
Dissonance

"Counterfist" is like Electro-Grunge or something...  They sound like they're trying to be Alice In Chains with a DJ/Sound effects Keyboardist...  Not my style of music.  I think Grunge is bad...  Never been into Alice In Chains, Nirvana, or any of the rest of them.  I would file them under "Rock," but I don't think they're any good.

"Enkrya" is almost Emo-Core...  Emo with an edge...  It's like Hard Light-Rock.  Then, it switches to Slow-Metal...  The slow type of music that people try to mosh to, but they just end up rocking back and forth like a mental patient.  Not really into it...  They sound like every other band in this scene.  I would file them under "Rock," but I don't think they're any good.

"AlkaiDiggins" - Their MP3s were all messed up...  And when I tried to play them from Main Street Music, IE crashed...  So...  No Comment.

"Dissonance" is NuMetal not Rock...  Plain and Simple.

Don't get me wrong... There are bands in Seattle I like...  But, most are not rock.

The Hatchet Wounds KICK ASS!!!  But... Not Rock.
I really like ShiftManShift.  But, not Rock.

I could go on and on and on...  Even a few rock bands I like in Seattle...  But, all I said was the Seattle Rock scene has few bands.
