Holy crap.  :o  That will teach me to not look at the board for a couple days.  Your pot hole sounds almost like my rim bending piece of concrete.  Aren't PA roads wonderful.

Hope you heal up quick.  Doesn't look like fun at all.  At least the WileyCo is alright.  ;)  Heck dive on over to Carlise and hang out for a little while.

I also, wouldn't mind seeing how the helmet held up.

The GS500 is the safest bike on the planet, it can just barely kill you.

Amanda decided that you will be riding "Buddha Loves You" with her. You're the 'Buddha Loves You'    :P  :nana:  :thumb:
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

You can always pick a rider who has never come off a bike. He/She is the one wearing Shorts and a T shirt..........
Hope you get healed up pretty quick and get your bike back on the road.
On the bright side, it could have been alot worse........cheers from OZ

It's a long shot, but would you say that the pothole caused the accident 100%?  If so, you may be able to file a claim with the locality that is charged with maintaining the road.

Our city was doing road construction once, and they were resurfacing the pavement, and there was an 8" dropoff in the concrete.  In intersections, they had built little gravel ramps to access the road, but one evening in heavy rain, the ramps were covered by water, and couldn't be seen.  There were no cones or markings to show where to go, and I hit the 8" lip hard (about 15mph).  Bent my rim and destroyed the tire on my car.  City paid for it.  Don't know if that would apply here, but it might be worth checking in to.
Something is wrong with my twin...all of a sudden it's V shaped!  Wait, no, now it's a triple!  ...and I IZ NOT a postwhore!

Yea, a buddy of mine who is also into cars got a rock chip in his windshield on his way to a car show he was participating in. He was in a construction zone. Pulled over, asked to talk to the on site manager, and dealed his way into getting a new windshield no charge. Granted, he was a salesman, so he know what to say, but the fact is that a simple rock chip got him a whole new windshield, installed same day :? And it wasnt even cheap knockoff glass either.

If he could get his fixed, I'm sure there is someone out there you can talk to. Being after the fact though, pictures of the incident would have been good :dunno:

i dont think i would have much of a complaint with the city.  the roads werent the greatest but i would have to embelish more than i feel is moral.
