It's not really a replacement for the ER-5, which is more or less K's answer to the GS500.  This one doesn't look like it would be as good for a pillion.  It's more sports oriented, with less of the tour/commute flexibilty of the other two bikes.  Looks like it would be a pile of fun, though.

Hah, thats kinda what I was thinking.

Still, buells have a few other qurks that the japanese havent copied yet (probably due to patent restrictions, as theyre good ideas).

If only Buell could seperate from harley and develop a modern DOHC twin powerplant more suited to the excellence of its chassis design and innovation in other areas.

We're getting the shaft here. why does every new japanese bike sold here taunt me with good performance and reliability and horrible aesthetics??

The headlight looks weird, as does the front bodywork.  From the side, and from the tank back it looks badass, though.  I really like the silver paint w/ red frame, and the rear shock looks PIMP!!!  It looked like a liquid cooled parallel twin, is that right? (I don't speak french)  I would love to see a half faired (think SVS) version, with slightly more traditions looks to the front end.  Somebody tell Kawi that I would consider buying a bike like that.
