i've lost 3 auctions for a damn front wheel now.  in the last 15-20 seconds at that.  i waited till the last 30 seconds to bid for each auction.  yay im the high bidder! then boom outta now where i get outbidded.  ya with no time to bid again.  i hate ebay.

Put in the highest number you're willing to pay.  Don't be so cheap.  It will only charge you up to the last highest "unsuccessful" bid.

ya thanks captin obvious.  for example,  the last one i lost... bid was at $26 with 30 seconds left.  i bid 63 bucks.  im the high bidder for 4 seconds.  then i lose it with 15 seconds to go.  by the time i had the next bid in im 5 seconds too late.

Yep.  30 seconds is way too much lead time.

always bid some odd number if you bid 63 go for 63 and some change ive won some by change before, but also if you have dail up like us hicks in the country click on it at 30 but then count it off in your head and submit it at 25 it does work

just sent him a pm thanks.

and i've tried all the other tips.  i always bid 1 or 2 bucks higher than the obvious mulitples of 10/5.   i've hit it in the last 15 seconds or 30 or whatever.  i just have bad luck. i've been  an ebayer for years and never had this hard of a time getting something

After being outbid on a pair of '89 clip-ons (by somebody named jiggersplat) the next time a set came up I emailed the seller one day into the auction. And yes... I bought them outside of ebay.. The seller had some pretty good feedback so I went for it..

I'm sure somebody here has an extra wheel... Who has it?

No hard feelings... I don't remember how high that auction went but the one I bought was for $65 without the tubes.

i had my luck on ebay.  i sold a starter motor for over 120 and there were 3 others on there and they sold for under 100 and the auction was the same week.  yep thats right i am the coolest at ebay.
