Yup, that's right.  After 4 years of fuss-free riding, my knees have finally gone on strike and won't let me ride the GS any more.  :(
It's going to it's new home this afternoon.  Hopefully the guy will join the forum.  He said he'd been around here a bit and thought it was a great site.
Anyhoo, that's that.
What I replaced it with is this.

I think you're faster now, though.   ;)

Storage is great- two non-lockable glove compartments in the fairing and one larger lockable one below the steering head.  Plus "56 liters" under the seat, able to hold two helmets.
Fuel consumption is not flash, certainly not as good as the GS.  But it's acceptable for what is essentially a 650 tourer.
And it sure is comfy!

I could so see myself on one of those going up (or down) one of my favorite backroads...and beating the tar out of the repli-racer jocks.

Glad you enjoyed the GS while you could, Michael, hope you have many more years of trouble free two-wheeled enjoyment!
