Im looking to do some upgrades to my 2005 gs500f. I found this clear tail light on ebay.

What do you guys think?

I would probably get the turn signals for front and back as well.

Cha-CHING!  :o

See if any of the Lockhart Phillips alternatives on this page or this page will do the job ... for much less.

the one on ebay is the clearalternatives.com one. why dont you buy it directly from them?

I did it before clear alternatives had a specific one for the gs500f:

($40 for the non-LED version)

so any 97-98 cbr1100xx taillight will work with minor reworking of lens.

Funny thing-I heard from someone just the other day, that had ordered the gs500f clear from clearalternatives and it came in a box labelled cbr1100xx! so it appears they've been reading too...

I scanned it plenty big - you must not be expanding it to full size.

If you're using Internet Explorer, hover over the lower-right corner of the page image until you see this icon:

Sweet! Thanks! Now... how do I know which ones go with my bike?

A better question might be: Which ones won't fit?

The only ones I have tried are the Short Stalk II units.  Anybody out there have any words of wisdom?

I just installed my clear taillight. I ordered from the same ebay seller. Just the clear, not the LED. I wanted to pick my own LED bulbs. It does take 10 seconds. Then you realize that the OEM screws are too long and you need them 1/2 inch shorter.

A GS member, airbrush, makes a gasket that u can use with the Lockhart Philips flush mounts so u don't have to drill the fairing and they look sweet. He also makes awesome rear huggers too.  :thumb:
