...and went shopping for a wedding present.    :P

It is, lord help us - but I live close by, and I wanted to get the prezzies on the way home.

Oh - I used my refund to order a Hotbodies undertail for the SV.  I tried cleaning up the fender, as you can see, but the plastic is just too soft to work with well.  I make holes for the turn signals, and the bike's vibration enlarges them.

RVertigo

I used to live right up the street from there...  And for some unknown reason I'd let my wife drag me there once or twice a year...

:x HELL!

It's getting worse too...  I was there the other day  I had to go to Zales for the ring inspection... I wasn't shopping...  But yeah...  It's getting more and more like the Beverly Center every day...

HORRID!

Roadstergal

It's fine as long as you know what you're looking for and make a beeline for it, then leave.

RVertigo

Yeah...  Unlike the Beverly Center...  That place is the worst...  Every store is some over-priced name brand that I've either never heard of or would never wear...

I just shop at Target.

Roadstergal

I'm looking around my apartment and seeing a lot of Target and IKEA.   :P

RVertigo

IKEA used to be super cheap...  Not so much any more.  But...  I'm typing away on my IKEA desk right now. :thumb:

After spending my whole adult life with a futon, I finally got an IKEA bed - the bed and the mattress together were less than a mattress alone at the Sleep Country down the street.

RVertigo

My wife is in charge of that stuff...  She went out and spent a bucket of cash on the "Bowling ball" mattress.   :dunno:

I'd just sleep on the floor and spend the money on beer...

That's not a futon?  It so low...

My wife got a 4-poster that's about 7 feet off the ground...  I get vertigo just trying to get out of bed in the morning.

When she found me I was sleeping on a foam single on the floor.     It was free...   :dunno:

Roadstergal

Oh, is that how you got your username?

Yep, it's an honest-to-god bed... I can hide under it, as long as my head doesn't have to fit all of the way under.  :p  And the mattress actually has springs.

RVertigo

Yeah...  I can't even wear shoes that are too tall...   Ropeswing incident when I was 15... Almost died...  Screwed up my back for about 6 years...  Still have nightmares... All that good stuff.

I'm better than I was though.

That bed looks like it's 4" off the ground...  I don't even think I could get my boots under there.

Roadstergal

OK, I just tried to slide under the damn thing.  I run up against the side board... er... before I reach my head.

I know I can fit under the slats, though, from putting it together; they're higher than the side boards.

RVertigo

I guess you need a Plan B for the home invaders...

I just keep my friend Louie by the bed...  :thumb:  It's far too dusty under my bed...

Roadstergal

Ja, the only thing I really wanted that I think would have done some good is a good big dog.  Like my sister's Golden.

RVertigo

I dunno...  My Louisville Slugger scared off some dipshit that walked in my slider while I was sitting in the next room...   :x

He hopped a 7' fence in one jump.   :o

I chased him a while, but I guess he could run faster scared than I could angry...  Plus I was in my slippers. :dunno:

Roadstergal

Oooh, I thought you meant a dog.  When I once again have a place of my own, I will have a big dog.
