They love to nickle and dime you for bs stuff.  I am trying to get my maryland inspection at a local dealer.  They call me and say oh your clutch lever is bent you need to replace that. I say ok just to get it through.  Then I get a call a week later " we were going through your bike and noticed an air leak" we suggest you replace your intake boots. Oh and you should probably have your carbs cleaned.  how much do they want for all this 600 bucks lol just get the damn thing through inspection and stop finding things wrong with the bike.  The funniest thing is when I asked about the carb cleaning and said I thought they were pretty decent when I inspected them.  The guy said yeah but when you take them apart I bet they arent spotless.  I almost said since when are spotless carbs a requirement for inspection.

Cycles USA?  CAD Cycles?  Just wondering;  I live in Bethesda, and had a somewhat similar experience with my inspection.

It's actually Cycle World.  We should get together once i get this thing on the road.  Sounds like you have alot of mods that I would like and I could always use help wrenching.  CAD cycles seems to sell alot of Salvaged bikes? IS that correct?

CAD has a bad reputation around here.  The only new vehicles they sell are dirtbikes and ATV's;  the rest of the bikes there are used, and $$$$$.  They actually have decent prices on gear, but have a rep for finding things to fix that don't really need fixing.

I have actually had pretty good experiences with Cycles USA.  They seemed to only work on what NEEDED to be done to pass inspection.
