Which SV650 mirrors to get?

I'm going to replace the stock mirrors on my 98 GS and have read many people on this site recommending SV650 mirrors. I just checked ebay and there are a few different ones. Which ones is everyone referring to?

Thanks for your help. Just bought my GS and not sure what will work.

the second ones are the ones that most on here like, the round ones.

the first ones are newest generation, might look alright.

the last ones are for S model sv650, for faring mount.

;)idk; i like the first ones. they seem different and would still fit the gs. Not to flashy or anything.

what?!

first ones...they'll probably look good

I have the round ones.  Nice- but sometimes seems like there is not enough mirror surface area.

Thanks for the help guys.

I ended up buying the first ones. I'll post a before and after picture when I get them installed.

Those second ones, the round ones, are the ones. I had them until my bike got knocked over and one broke. They are very good mirrors: not as much visible as the OEM GS rectangular ones, but they handle vibration much better, are easier to adjust, and look way better.

*off to see if that second auction is still going on*

Any opinion of which mirrors to get if I want to increase my sight visability? Possibly one of the three posted above, but I'm open to any ideas. Thanks!

I like the CF ones...   :thumb:

But, I like big mirrors 'cause you can see more...  The first ones are cool too.

I don't think any of those mirrors are going to give you more visibility (ie a wider viewing angle) than the stock ones. If that's your concern then don't change.

My personal concerns are: 1) round mirrors look much better on the (naked) GS than rectangular ones do; and 2) I want mirrors that won't vibrate so much, so I can actually see what they show me.

That would be nice...  I think shorter mirror stalks would help...   :dunno:

Ok, I got the new mirrors installed.

Here's the before:

and after:

I like the looks of them better than stock but I don't think they look as nice as the CRG barend mirrors would have. Oh well, what can you expect for $30 a pair compared to the CRGs at $180 a pair.

OT: wow, the stock GS turn signals are a little out of control, huh? (My PO shortened mine, I don't think I really noticed what a nice service that was... should look him up and thank him!)

Also: I got the round mirrors from the middle linked auction. Thanks sctrader!
