I have an 05 GS500F and am new to modifing bikes.  Could  someone tell the difference between choked and non-choked flanges?  And what model number Wileyco pipe everyone is useing?  Last thing Srinath do you have any more flanges for sale?  I guess that should have been the fist question.
BTW Great forum have been having a blast reading all the post here.
Thanks in advance
Pilot 22.5, Mid 65 , Mains 147.5, Mixture screw 3.5 turns out

Even if the voices aren't real they have some good ideas.

I'll send out this lot and see what is left ... I do believe I have these guys covered ... Just dont want to over commit ...

choked, and bars for an 04 gs500f.

I'm sorry if it seems like I'm pestering you but I wanted the flange so I could put the exhaust on.  I would have waited for the bars.

Did the flange you send out to me ever get returned back to you?

I don't see anything wrong with pre-selling srinath, you do a good service for the GS community and no one (I don't think) is trying to give you hell.  :thumb:  But if it were me, and I was doing what you do, I'd be like "Ok, eveyone place your orders and pay now, and I will have them by "X" date". Ya know? I have no problem with waiting personally, I just like to know when it is that I am waiting for so I know when to expect it. That sort of thing.

BTW - Choked for later model GS (2004 GS500F).

Yup ... X date was back in May as someone pointed out ... That X is moving always ... and its never moving backwards ... I have 1000 BS crap to deal with ... Steel is there, OK I start collecting orders ... and when I come up with $$ and decide to buy steel for making so many ... they're like Huh.... we have 20 feet ... we need a week to get the 100 you need ... OK great ... then my welder has to fix someone's leaky roof or someone's Dune buggy ... cos he was ready the week before. Nowadays I dont even set a time with him before the stuff is bought and I have final count ... cos I know I'll never make it ... and I dont wanna disrupt his shop ... then he's busy with new baby or wife who was pregnant or someone's big ass plow or holding tank ... Then finally I get him to make it, then powder shop ... finally it comes back and I work on shipping ... Its an engineering operation ... nothing ever goes on time ... I have thought about improving it myself ... and the final result ... nope ... My wife has tried, so has my welder ... His own life is a mess ... I have Danny's frame on his table and he's welding it ... I wanted to get that by sunday ... its tuesday and we're no where near done ... and the powder guy has no schedule for the color so we're not that bad there ... I get it in the next 2-3 days and we'll be good ... The end result is ... if its going forward I am happy ... No real targets etc ... I have a list and try to get the things done as per that ... Making it worse is the fact that I dont know what my work day is going to turn into ... maybe chained to the desk, may be on the phone, may be on the road ... no clue ... Anyone who has made stuff knows and counts all these in ... The large category of "shaZam! Happens" ... So shaZam! getting lost in the mail is just one more of those pleasures of making stuff ... But that was stupid of me ... blank labels ... dont ship ... WTF ... they Post office loses stuff with labels printed ... why wont they lose it if the labels were 1/2 blank ...
Cool.

I used to make and modify parts on another forum.

Diamond plate racing pedals, Diamond plate brakets, braces and covers, custom exhaust, and the occasional ported intake manifold.  So I sort of know what you are going through.

So you are the designer at the mercy of the workers?  I had one friend to try and help me and he fudged an exhaust job for me.  Then he said he would help and did not show up for a couple days.

If I was you I would invest in a 110 mig welder and learn to use it.  Removing the cost of paying someone to weld will bring you more $profit$.   Only if you plan on keep making these.

I have access to a hydraulic exhaust pipe bender, I think he only paid around $100 for it and it does up to 2 inch pipe(I paid extra for the peice to do 2.25)  I bought it and the welder and started to install custom exhaust on the side.

I quit doing a lot of it because I got switched over to a 7 day swing shift and didn't have as much time for the extra work.

Hey if you have any flanges w/ choker for an 04F I would be interested in one. I don't have my can and might not for a while, so as long as theres going to be no fitment problems I would store it for a bit.
I posted on another thread and figured I would do it here also.

Its all going in 10-20 mins ... I took off from work ... yea in pain but ignoring it ... except for random screams of agony ... anyway ... UPS is now my choice ... Tracking and insurance is included ... Might as well ... they are more $$ and they treat the packages a bit worse than USPS ... but these are fine ... canada - USPS ...
Cool.

OK its all sent ... no shipping $$ ... I shouldn't have sent it with USPS if labels were 1/2 blank ... heck with full labels they lose stuff ... 1/2 label ... hell yea ... OK if it shows up just hold it and I'll sell it out from you ...
Yea I didn't make today's pickup for UPS ... the guy picked up at 3:30 ... not 6 as usual ... new schedule they said ...  :dunno:  ... but its all with staples now ...
Cool.
