Hey everyone,

I'm new here, and looking to get a 500 within a few months.  I've been checking out the gs and ex, and from a pure performance standpoint the kawasaki looks like a better bike.  I am a fan of the GS models as well.  Are there any other bikes anyone would like to recommend researching and what are the advantages over the other models.

Thanks

I'd rather push my GS than ride an EX.

I also looked at the these 2 different bike.  Only reason I bought the GS was because of the newer look.

Funniest name I was ever called on here "cap'n fast n' furious"

A guy once told me "having nitrous on your car is alot like dating a hot girl with a STD, your afraid to hit it because of what might happen."

EX outperforms GS by a nice margin.

I now have both as I bought a 2004 Ninja 500R for my wife.  I think it comes down to personal preference.  The Ninja is a bit zippier than my GS is, but both are fun to ride.

Go sit on both and see how they feel.

I agree with Conan.  I actually am an EX rider.  SO has a '98 GS.  Both bikes are fun.  See for yourself which is the better fit for you.   :dunno:
