What the f%$k! That is all I have to say!

I parked my new (to me) GS5 in front of a resturant in this plaza today and when I came out some @$$hole had moved my bike OUT of the parking spot (the handlebars were in lock and it was in gear so they pretty much dragged it around) and up onto the sidewalk so they could park in MY spot! WTF!?! I WAS PISSED! Especially since they rammed it into a cement pole, broke the rear right tail light, and put a MASSIVE GASH all the way along the rear right side of the bike down to the plastic! There is no way to even SAND it down! This bike is a 95' and had NO scratches at all until then!

It is a DAMN good thing he was not there in the spot when I came out. I would have busted out his window with a wrench!

What the hell is up with people that they think they can just MOVE your vehicle out of a parking spot like that! That just goes to show you the respect that people have for the motorcyclist on the road! We are regarded as a sub-class. Look at the dude that got his plugs jacked!

I AM SO TWEAKED THAT SOMEONE WOULD DO THAT!!!!

(This was in Santa Monica / West LA)

I take it his car was gone already, otherwise like you said damage would have been done.  Ive done some hefty damage to assholes who have come and blocked me in before, Id do it again to, just be sure no one sees you doin your dirty work. :nono:  :guns:

dude that really sucks and all, but don't put @$$hole in your title.   it's just not kosher man.    btw that really sucks.  ask Srinath he's the resident plastic collector, and I know there are lots of turn siginals floating around, if you ask in the wanted section you usually can get them for like 5 bucks

jomei

My bad. I will make sure not to do anything like that in the title again. I was just so tweaked! I just got home.

man that's sweet!  :o

but, wouldn't you have to leave the bike in neutral if you wanted to use the remote engine start?  :nono:

I'd have to do something about that lame bike icon on the LCDs of the remotes

That is a true, massive, incredible dickhead.

And I'm amazed none of the passersby called him on it.

Not only that, but the people that did see it probably thought it was his bike. Maybe they figured "he must be having problems getting his bike started" or something. Some people are both passive AND naive, unfortunately.
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

I imagine what happened is she didnt see the bike and she pulled into the spot and knocked it over..

Someone else probably came along and stood it back up and moved it to a safer spot..

Just my two cents..

We have been conditioned to not get involved..
Like it has been said 100 times before, there were enough men on the 9/11 flights to stop the hijackers. We have been conditioned to not get involved.

Sad but true..

RVertigo

Yeah... Too bad the car was gone.

On a totally unrelated note ( ;) )  Tire places have these cool little tools that can unscrew the inside of the tire stem.  Removing it doesn't damage the tire or the stem, it simply makes the removal of all the air in the tire very rapid.  And... If you leave it out, there's no way to refill the tire without replacing it...

It's still a vandalism charge if you do it to someone else's car...  So, I would never suggest doing such a thing.

only if its on the center stand, side stand switch will not allow startup in gear
I never said a thing, it was only a rumour

Just reading that makes me furious.

I promise ALL OF YOU that if I EVER see somebody moving a motorcycle so they can park their car, I will do the following:

1) Say, "Excuse me.  But, is that YOUR motorcycle?"
2) If no, then say, "If you don't take your hands off that bike right now, I'm going to punch you in the f*cking temple. You got that son?"

This is my pledge to you.

Alarm system looks good. I was thinking about that. At $125 on sale, and $200 not on sale, I would say that is money well spent. Hell! I would pick up two of them and a couple big ass locks after this just so I would have a bit of peace of mind on this and my next bike. Jake D, I as well pledge to do the same. Personally, I think that should be in the GStwin.com user agreement.

calamari

...
I still insist that someone should invent an 'alarm system' that discharges some 120/500 volts (user selectable) when a person touches the frame (handle bars, etc) of the bike.
Adding a loud speaker with a gangsta voice saying 'step away for the bike mofo!' right after the electric shock, and the system setup is complete
