That steelmate alarm system has a tilt sensor, keyless start which means you can ride without a key, I had mine installed without the siren, so the alarm is hooked up to the horn. And cold start timer for winter.

I still insist that someone should invent an 'alarm system' that discharges some 120/500 volts

Try 15,000 volts. Use an auto type seat pressure switch, a small oscilator, an ignition coil and a relay to disable when the key is on. Put the switch and ign coil in the seat foam with the end of the HT wire all the way up where it touches the seatcover in the middle. Sit on the bike with the ign switch off and touch ground (levers or anything) and you get 15,000v up your rear and out your hand.

For legal reasons, I strongly recommend against installing this type of device.

you can have remote start on a carb bike??? How do you adjust for RPM durring cold start? you just leave the choke open? and let the engine rev @ like 4-5 g's ?? for how long?

I think remote start on a bike is kinda silly     :dunno:

A guy at work has remote start on his little scoot...  He clicks it when he's about 10 ft away.  I don't really see what the point is other than trying to impress people. :dunno:

you could always put nightrider decals on the tank, put a walkie talkie under the seat, hide behind a bush, and when someone looks at the bike start it up and watch the expressions on there faces as you start it up and say i'm comeing master, must be good for a laugh, have thought about connecting my wiring in off the alarm just to have a laugh
I never said a thing, it was only a rumour

My bf has a perimeter alarm on his 2005 bike, and when we sit at a window seat in a cafe, or on a patio, we generally get a good view of the people who walk by and jump through the roof when the bike starts yellin' at 'em.  :P  But if it starts yelling too loudly, he kindly turns that part off with his remote.

just a harmless sicko
