This is my first motorcycle.  I got it last saturday, but I left for vacation the day after and so I'm not going to be able to ride for 2 weeks!

It is in near mint condition, has 3600 miles, has a vance and hines exhaust (and the decal on both sides which I think looks smokin).  

What do you guys think of it?  Any suggestions to make it better?

Seriously though, what do you think of it?  It's very clean and in good condition.  I plan to keep it that way, hopefully!  hehe

well there went my plan for world domination.  damn.  I think you should replace the v&h stickers with some super cool gstwin.com ones, then you would be super cool.

Looks great man! It is very clean, and the sticker matches the scheme of the bike, so leave that on there. Just get some sticky tires, and a rear hugger fender, and thats all I would do.

What's a rear hugger fender?  I'm going to look it up right now.  The tires I was going to change after I got really comfortable on the bike and I actually need to upgrade.(also so that I can feel the difference they make)

Bike looks great, but it's screaming out for some smaller mirrors.  I like the black wheels...mine are white and I hate them.

That GS looks hot.  It is what mine would look like with the Exptreme GS Makeover.

Upgrades:

Rear CF hugger, a la Airbrush
Bar end mirrors (learn to ride first)
Viola!!!!

you can also find them on ebay look for 400bandit rear hugger, or 88-90, maybe 91,92 GSXRs had them too.

I absolutely agree that the white wheels are uh-guh-lee!!!!!!!

About the mirrors, yeah they are big, but I like them.  I might look around to see how some smaller sportier ones would look on it.

What's the point of the rear hugger?  I don't think they are all that noticeable.

What about an ignition advancer as a good mod?  So no company makes them for the gs anymore??(best way to get one, ebay?)

I really like the 2002 styling...I'm glad that's what I happened to find when I was shopping for a used bike.
