does anyone have a pic of an F mirror apart? I'd like to make some integrated led signals into the mirror...would like to know what the inside looks like behind the actual mirror.

The mirrors are basically hollow. I have seen standard bulbs & lens fit into TLR mirrors. I can find the thread if needed.

yah...just wondering if they have any kind of reinforcing ribs molded into the inside or what kind of room i would have to play around with. Now taking them apart without wrecking anything...now there's a trick.

Not sure about any reinforcement ribs. The ones I saw had a 1-1.5" hole drilled in them for the lens. I know of another thread that has a pic of the 05 GSXR1k mirror without the signal installed. I will look for those threads tomorrow at work (more bandwidth)

You can order 2005 gsxr1000 mirrors with the signal intergrated, and I'm pretty sure they bolt right on. I was gonna do it but then I thought about the big ugly hole in the fairing.

hmm...okay...anyone have pics of those...i'll try and find a pic of one. But i can make my own if I can em apart without any pain...well have to take a closer look at them when I have time.

nevermind...found pics of those mirrors...damn ugly. I'd actually like to have it the other way....lights on the mirror side...i have short stalk signals and my buddies are always whining that its tough to see my signals....so i was thinking ones like some SUV's or luxury cars have visible on the side mirrors.

Lockhart makes universal signal mirrors. I've seen them on ebay. Apparently they have a 3way mounting system. But I don't think they will fit an F. I can't remember what I measured for my mirrors but I don't think it was close to any of the 3 mounting measurements. Hey if you can get it to work let me know. I have been looking for the same thing..

Yah, i was lookin over my mirrors today..don't think they'll be too hard to get apart. Don't like the look of the ones you posted, plus they're much shorter....especially that cheesy fake carbon fibre look. Oh and I wanted the singals on the mirror side not the front side, but i might incorporate those too. Probably won't get to it for while.
