Well My standard answer for years on my 89 GS with 48K was zip ties (usualy a dozen or so mandatory) duct tape (sometimes velcro is also used instead) and inner tube (all fuel flow seals are provided by inner tube). There were a dozen+ zip ties on my Virago 1100 as were many strips of inner tube but they were serveing the purpose of grommets ... more like supplementary grommets ... That Virago is faaaar from ghetto. Its gold and super super cool.
BTW That "der Honk" GS - those that know where that pic is please post it here - from somewhere in europe would be the ghettoiest I think.
Cool.

I have a big yellow tennis bal zip-tied to my centerstand to keep it from hitting the chain, does that count?

That's a good idea ... I keep saying shredded car tire but this is as good ...

I have a slit length of heater hose zip-tied to the stand.  It's a color match, though. :p

The Buddha

Yea and you had to go and make it all purty and stuff ...

I got a dozen or so zip ties, a bunch of electrical tape. duct tape on the inside of the tail 5 min epoxy on the outside, and a bent electrical connector to bypass the clutch switch.   my clutch perch has been welded back together and not repainted, my handle bars are rusty, there's rust whare i cut the back of the headlight bucket out.

Small hair/ponytail band holding the right front turn signal cover on...it's not colour coordinated, though...green...ick   Yes on the duct tape...and I think there's some bubblegum in there holding something on...oh...and a bit of rust...I think he'd fall apart if not for the rust.  :?

If you're not using bailing wire for something it's not truly ghetto rigged.

davipu

I don't have access to bailing wire anymore.

Mk1inCali

I'd have to second davipu's bike's nomination for ghetto-ist.  It's pretty trashed.

Sort of looks cool in a "Hey I don't care how crap my stuff looks, works or rides, as long as I can pretend it works".

My CR250R has two zip ties holding the rear end of the skid plate on. No need to get a new skid plate until the old one falls off really.

but I can leave it anywhere and not worry about it getting stolen.

Church6360

i though i was ghetto, but all i've got is a (kinda) repaired gas tank off an 04 and a cbr1000RR can on my bike. oh, zip tied fuel lines too.

no duct tape, so i definitely don't take first.

but i do have a 5 dollar wrist watch strapped to my brake master cylinder.
i really need to post pics.
The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.
