A friend of mine is getting a bike and as a beginner he mentioned the Ninja, the GS, and some others.  I ranted and raved about how great the forum is (in addition to how great the GS is) and the forum became the deciding factor.  He's on the market now and should appear in a few weeks.  So to everyone on the board, pat yourselves on the back for being so cool and friendly to beginners.  :)
