I was riding to work and had to switch to reserve and not sure, how far can you go uphill on reserve? Will all the gas slosh to the back of the tank? I have to go up hill pretty steep for about 2 miles i think.

Get gas ASAP after going to RES. You probably have 40 miles or so in there, but just get gas now and play it safe.

I would, but I'm in an industrial area and the closest place with gas has very crappy gas. The next closest place is chevron off of burnside (kinda downtown) and it's ridiculasly expensive there because of the location.

Get the f%$k out. Are you in Portland? I know Burnside, but there may be a street with that name elsewhere.

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Ah yes...

I want to tell you a story about the last time I was in Portland.  The night before we played at the Long Goodbye.  I was walking on the street about 10:30 at night.  A lot of people go to bed around here at 10:30 at night.

    ...

Now, I waited, walked down about a block to where the Kentucky Fried Chicken is, on Burnside, and sure enough they drove around again.[/list:u]

Portland doesn't go to sleep until 6am, according to my watch.

Hmm...  Maybe you don't know that one...  Dead Kennedys - Night of the Living Rednecks.

Anyhooo....

No, you won't run out of gas on an uphill if you just switched to reserve.  You might have a problem if you're scraping the bottom.

Not a fan of them. But I was listening to Warren Zevon and he said "Biafra", which of course made me think of Jello Biafra. But Zevon was referring to the place, not the person.

Carry on...

It's not really a song...  Jello told a story to a Portland audience while Ray (the guitar player) fixed his guitar in the middle of a show.

And it's Crushed little Kids
Crushed little Kids
Crushed little Kids
Adorn the boardwalk

I love the surfy influence on that one and some others.  DK :thumb:

I've probably gone about 6 miles on reserve.

The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.
