We cannot lane-split legally here in Texas.

There was a guy on Two Wheeled Texans (CycleCat, Chris Bell) who asked his boss to (Griggs) to sponsor this bill.  It died in committee.

For those too lazy to read the entire thread, I will repost the link to the site that shows that this is DEAD, NOT a law, and hopefully avert the "are you sure?" responses.

Apologies.  I should have done more research, but it looked legit on first glance.

Thanks for challenging the post Thirdman.  Your search of Texas Legislature Online was better than mine.

Lane-Splitting is still illegal in Texas and most everywhere else.  So far it's just wishful thinking -- best not to do it folks...  :nono:

I hope I didn't sound toooo snippy in my replies.  I got really excited about this a while back, and my hopes and dreams were cruelly crushed.

I have been bitter (regarding this topic) ever since.   :(

On the flip side, google rocks.   :P

Just because it is in committee doesn't mean the bill was killed, though. It could be in committee for quite a while before it gets to the floor to be read.
