Quote from: daneilahdo you get hosed for insurance on race bikes like we do in the great white north?

No insurance required in WA.  I have it on the commuter, but this one is uninsured.  I'm going to transform it muchly from stock anyway, though.  I think it will become much less of a theft target in another week and a half. :)

I went on to the internet to get some insurance quotes.  I put in my bike as a reference point, and the internet quote matches what I pay.
GS500F - $800
GSX-R1000 - $3000
GSX-R600 - we're sorry, we cannot quote you insurance at this time

Kinda takes away any temptation I might have to join all you gixxer-types

Hey, this wasn't there a couple of days ago!!  We didn't make you feel guilty and pushed you to buy a replacement GS500, did we??

Let's see the newest addition to your stable -- don't be shy...

Today's Roadstergal Signature:

2005 Suzuki GSX-R 600
2005 Burger 400
1991 Suzuki GS500E

You know, I'm beginning to believe you might be a tad fickle.  You flushed your whole stable, then buy six different wheels in what, four weeks?

BTW, Are we talking "Burgman" 400? Cool...
2001 GS500E, stock except for SV650 Flyscreen, Case Guards, Headlight Modulator, PIAA Super White bulb & 17-Tooth Front Sprocket, BLUE, RED and GREEN LED Instrument and Dash Lights

Spring cleaning at the end of summer.

Current plan...

Ship out the plastics I eBayed by the end of the week.

Get the GSX-R finished by this weekend.  First track day on it a week later.

Spend odd weekends wrenching on the GS until it's where I like it.

Commute on the spongy comfy thing.

I know it entertains y'all.

I should have gotten a used GS instead of the GS500F to start with.  It's just a better fit and a better deal.  And when I was looking at commutermobiles, some folk recommended big scooters.  I dismissed them out of hand, and shouldn't have.

still wearing that same thong?

I change my underwear more often than I change my bikes.
