Semi-on topic total newb question: is there a "What helmet/gear do you wear?" thread?  I did some cursory searches, but I've not yet found such a thread...

Finally on-topic: that helmet is right freaky lookin'.  I think I'd rather have the face lookin at the person behind me, though, instead of the side; you know, the whole 'eyes in the back of the head' thing.

There is no single thread.  Do a search on each type of gear - a search on "jacket" will get you a million opinions on jackets, a search on "pants" will give you a million opinions on pants, etc.  But for everything, especially helmets, fit is the #1 concern. Find a local place and try stuff on.
