I've been away from the forum for a year.  Hope you're all doing well.

What happened?  I sold my '01 GS500 in August of '04, having replaced it with another bike.  A few weeks ago, and 20 miles from where I live, I found myself parking next to a clone of that GS500.  Correction, it was my old GS.  A very nostalgiac moment.  The new owner made a few small cosmetic changes to personalize it (e.g., removed the factory stripes on the side of the seat frame trim).

Sitting on the curb, looking over the bike for a few minutes, brought back lots of great memories.

Ride safe, everyone.

Glad to hear you're doin' ok!

The 250, I once owned for 14 years, is currently a MSF drop mule. I have yet to see it in person, but it brings a tear to my eye that it's being used to train new riders...when it could be in the hands of its master, ripping up Hwy9, terrorizing R1's and G1k's! Muwahahaha!![/b]
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?
