I am just as anti-rice as the next guy when it comes to guys putting fart cans, stickers, huge wings, etc. on their Civics in an attempt to make it look fast. But something I like on Yamaha and Suzuki bikes is the brand sticker on the bottom of the fairing, ala:

I am thinking about doing this on mine, and possibly removing the Suzuki sticker in the middle of the fairing. Anyone have a clue of sticker dimensions that would fit there? Simple enough to measure, I know, but I really can't get out of my office to check mine right now. There are some on eBay for $6 shipped and are 8.25 in long by 1.25 in tall.

Thanks everyone,

Dave

the 8" stickers are for the tank. 15"x2" are for the lowers.

check out //www.fabritechdesigns.com Jim does some great work.
He made some custom decal for me before and supplies all of the decals to TLPlanet.com
Common sense in not very common.

The 15" X 2" is the size for our lowers? I just looked in my pants and multiplied that by ten, and 15 seems a little long for our bikes, but I may be wrong, or I may have underestimated my junk   .

That's space for a 15" sticker? I guess now that I look at it again... you're right.

I do not know what size would fit the GS. I was stating the standard size used on other bikes.

That's good info, dgyver. Thanks again.

I have a Metzeler sticker down there (stickers add horsepower!)--it's not really that visible.  Not sure I'd want to move the Suzuki down there.  I'll go out and get a pic at lunch.

Huh. Yeah, a picture would be cool. I know, like I said, I am with everyone on the silliness of adding 'R' or "Powered By..." stickers to your 4-cylinder, low-desplacement Honda in a vain attempt to make it look cool. But I think on the Gixxers, or especially the R-series Yamahas, that sticker looks sweet.

Maybe it's just me...but I'm a fan.

It looks good there because when people are standing on the outside of a turn at the track that is all you can see  :thumb:

oops, picture will have to wait 'til tomorrow, no camera available.

Also, the right and left farings are different, so be careful when measuring.

As promised, pictures of my tacky sticker job:    :)

It was hard to put these on straight, and I tried to line them up with the top of the faring lower piece.  They look more crooked here cause of the angle, I think.  Eventually, the crookedness will bug me enough that I'll peel them off and try again with new ones.

The Metzeler sticker is that fake carbon fiber.  And yes, I get 10 extra hp from the "R".    The R says GS under it, but the shiny silver didn't photograph well.

This is on the other side.  Placement is different cause the faring is a different shape and angle.

My brother has a ton of random stickers, and he has these sweet Unity ones that would look dope down there. But I don't actually snowboard, and it has little-to-nothing to do with motorcycling. But they were cool.
