just curious...is there a reason why 3 mm washer is not being recommended in rejetting? the 3 mm washer is identical to stock washer. whereas, the #4 washer is noticeably larger in outer circumference.

the only thing i could think of is #4 is more widely available...are there any other reasons?

I started out with #2's, somehow it got turned into #4's and I used to fight it, but I bought #4's for my kawi's and said ehhh close enough ... now yours is 01+ ... so its entirely different from the 89-00, but it will work in any case ... eeeehhhhh close enough ...
Cool.

so it was YOU! thanks for making us use kawi washer!  :P

i don't know...someone on the board had mentioned that he had to get a custom washer. i was thinking he should be able to find a correct washer size with no problem...

i tried using #4's on an 04 and they seemed to large.  I ended up using they nylon type washers, just had to open the hole a bit with a hex key.

What jets should I run with an after market pipe? I just opened my carbs up to see what they looked like inside and found the big jets are 122's. I was told the bike had been jetted, but isn't the factory jet a 125?

BigTwin

how big are these #4 washers? I bought some today and they are very small, I was expecting something bigger. They are about the size of an eraser on a #2 pencil width wise.

Did I get the right ones? And all they had were brass washers, are they OK?

THANKS, BigTwin
