ya know its my understanding that alotta people on this forum don't care for me, perhaps its due to my comments about asian drivers, or my preference for streetbikes over scooters...

and this probably won't help...

I think your bike looked way better stock.  Your track plastics are garbage.  Put the stock ones back on and ride that previously attractive bike on the street.

Awesome.

Stock plastics a) don't crash for sheeot (tend to shatter) and b) are a theft target.  They're already sold.  There's only one person who actually has to consider the bike attractive - the person who shelled out the dough and bought it.

No point in riding this bike on the street.  Well, other than to keep the battery charged between track days.

I hope someone got a pic of me out there - that'll be good for at lest one more giggle. :)

I'm jealous.

Very nice. Nothing better than seeing a hot chick on a fast bike...with the number 69 on it. Nicky Hayden fan probably...

Like a 600RR is shabby!!

Actually, the 69 comes from when I autoXed - I joked that I wanted a number that wouldn't change if I rolled the car.  Add the sexual suggestion, and bingo!

I was rather surprised that the number wasn't taken already.

The GSX-R - wow, it is a completely different bike from the SV.  I expected it to be like the SV, but with a few significant differences here and there.  Nope, heart and soul, it's a different bike.  It's tractable and well-behaved and... for lack of a better word - bored on the street.  On the track, I started to see the outline of its potential off in the distance - and also the potential to have my own rear bitten by it.  It's not very tolerant of unsmoothness or hesitation.  It wants to go, and it wants a firm hand.  It's going to take me a lot more seat time to be truly deserving of this thing, IMO.
On the more prosaic front, I feel like it's set up too stiffy for me.  Stock, it's probably set up for Yer Average Guy.  Something I should tweak sooner rather than later.

NESBA is usually a very safe and controlled school, so there were a surprising number of offs today.  No group seemed immune, and they were all the d'oh - slap head kind of off.  Like the guy who went out, advanced group, first session, and in the first turn, laid it down.  Didn't get 100feet.  A gal I was getting ready to pass on the straight went down just as I was moving to pass; that was a little hairy.  It looked like she dropped the hammer before she or the bike was ready, wobbled and fell.  I was sure I was going to hit her, but managed to look somewhere else and not.
Still, a very informative day.  After lunch, I took stock of what was going on and dialed it back, just worked on my line.

Phaedrus

You were right Roadstergal, it is much less of a theft target now  :P

But in all seriousness, it looks like a lot of fun to ride and I bet it is an amazing trackbike. Good for you, keep up the good work.  :thumb:

davipu

so is it a red bike with white overspray, or a white bike with a crappy paint job? :P

Roadstergal

It's a white bike under a red tent with a red tank.

I got a pile of stickers here waiting for a trip up north

indestructibleman

the race skins look very nice.  really good lines there.

i personally think the stripe on the tank messes it up, but ymmv.

I stll like it.  I had a couple red biohazard decals on a white atv.

The only thing I would do is get a sticker for the lower fairing that says " YOU JUST GOT PASSED BY A GIRL"

BTW I want your new pipe.  I love the triangular shape.

on my trackdays, there's a gal on an orange bike - i've watched her improve tremendoulsy. in the beginning she was all stiff and upright now she's all loose, hangin' off & probably draggin' her knees (unlike myself).

looking forward to more track reports  :thumb: (and pics)

ya, ya, I know. But bikes look SO GOOD in track plastics...mine dont really count as track plastics since everything (except the front upper) is just rashed OEM spares.

Most trackdays I do have at least one or two getoffs, usually minor ones. I've seen a few balls of flames recently though-one was an Aprilia MilleR (burned and melted to the ground), another was a race gsxr burnd to a crisp, and yet another gsxr burned to a crisp. The last two at the same trackday-supposedly they were both running race gas and had some sort of leak...

those peeksures are great but where are you? And who's on the pink gsxr?
