So the dealer also lt me know I could get a WRX with 70k or so on it for 7 grand or so. More than I want to pay for a winter beater, but they are indeed fun cars.

That's the one, not bad eh?

I also concidered the option of selling M5 and buying an old 944 turbo S project to balls out for local SCCA , but then I'd be stuck back with no winter car  :dunno:  :dunno:

I'm the most indecisive person on the face of the planet.

Ah yeah and my current wintery vehicle my Chevy 1500 gets at least 3 offers a day :] I'm just holding out because it has a week left in the paper.

The wagon isn't bad.  Only 70 lbs or so heavier, right?
I love the WRX and is it super fun to drive, but the wagon looks a bit like an outback.
Hold out for the sedan!

man, i'm a sucker for hatchbacks.  i love the cargo space, and frankly i like the lines better.

there's not a car that's available in both sedan and hatchback that i don't think the hatchback is better looking.  i might be a little strange. :dunno:

that wrx looks like a really good deal to me.

+1 on the hatchback fetish ;) I have one too. I love my little Hyundai hatchback. My first car, a Dodge Colt, was a small hatchback also. Three cheers for hatchbacks.

Roof rack and cargo space are SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET for snowboarding.  You can fill every seat and still get everyone's gear.

I've gone up to the hill in quite a few different vehicles and the best was a little hatchback with a roof rack...  The second best is the Exploder...  Roof rack, lots of cargo room...  and a 12" sub!   :thumb:

to continue the hatcback threadjack, when i was in Ireland, i fell in love with the peugeot 107

my parents had a peugeot 405 station wagon when i was learning to drive and, while being pretty light on hp, the handling on that thing was excellent, especially for a full size wagon.

Looks pretty good to me, and for my first car I pay for, I'll get a NEW one of these or a used Hyundai Tiburon GTV6.

it's possible they've improved the Spectra, but i know that at one point they had really bad crash test ratings.

i was really close to buying a rio wagon.  not nearly as sexy as the spectra, but cheap. :thumb:

Ouch. I like the Spectra, but don't talk about the Mazda 3 as if it's similar in any way to the Kia. Those Mazda 3's are just gorgeous
