I have been looking for a good motorcycle shop.  If you know of any please let me know.  My nephew took his bike to get worked on and ummm lets see they had it for about for a week and a half.  And still had not worked on it.  :x   Lied to him twice about when the parts were comming in and when the work would be completed :o .  Anyway he picked up the bike today and we were just wondering if anyone knew a good shop around the Atlanta area.

What part of Atlanta are you in?  I'm on the East side (Decatur) and have heard good things about both MSP Cycles (Decatur) and RRR Cycle (Clarkston).  Sorry I can't give a personal review on prices or quality of service .. my bike hasn't been serviced at a shop.  The extent of my experience was buying plugs and fork oil at RRR.  Hope this helps.

It's a bit of a drive from ATL, but Capitol Cycle in Macon, is really good about service.  Well, at they've been really good to me.  I had them mount a tire for me.  It took them less than an hour from when I dropped the bike off, and I told them I didn't need it in a hurry.  I had some other work done as well, and their price was fair and they did excellent work.  Only problem I've had was with their parts department.  They have a bad habit of ignoring customers who are standing right in front of them, but once they give you their attention they are very helpful.  I've heard really good things about a/the BMW shop (Globe or Global, something like that, it may be called Britania or something like that now), but you're probably looking for a Suzuki shop.

I live in Duluth but any Metro Atlanta city is fine even Jonesboro.  I"ll check out those two that you mentioned secondgen 7  I appreciate it.

Yeah Macon's a bit of a drive to have my bike worked on.  So far I have been DIY just worried I might screw something up and have to take it to a shop.

Good luck finding something.  I'm a middle georgia boy, I'm not quite sofistikated enuf for the big city of Atlanta.   I'd recommend just going into a couple different shops that are close to you and talk to the guys in the shop.  If the sales-staff is really good about customer service and the other people who will give you face time are also good about face customer-service, that means management is good, so service should be good.  Top-down stuff.

I reccomend Yamaha of Doraville.   Its a small shop/dealership with pretty good labor rates ($40/hr).  Very mom & pop.  I found it when I needed a rear tire mounted.  Its the kind of shop that lends itself to yakking the day away about bikes with the staff or other customers.

Its located on Buford Highway about 3 miles outside the perimeter.... about 1.5 miles south of Jimmy Carter Blvd.

  I work right at 285 and Buford Hwy right about 5 min from there.  Thats where my brother inlaw bought his V-Star.   The place where my nephew was haveing problems is called the cycle stop which is right below there.

No problem.  Wherever you wind up going, let us know how it works out.

Also, I'm heading up to Marietta Motorsports this afternoon, to pick up a set of EBC pads, so I'll take a look at the shop/service and post back here w/my impression.

Hey man, cool...you work about 5 minutes from where I do.  I am just south of the Yamaha place just off Buford hwy about 2 miles north of 285 (on Weaver Way)

That cycle stop looks like a ratty hole-in-the-wall.  I've long wondered whether it was  a repair shop or a run-down biker bar!

I guess now I know.   I haven't heard of anyone having problems with teh yamaha place

forget the stealerships.

Marrietta Motosports is very good. Very honest place. All the guys that work there race and have always taken good care of me.
