Anyone seen or have this style tail light?

What do you think of it?
And what would you do with the holes left from your rear blinkers?
Also seems funny to have wide blinkers in the front and this
light in the rear.

I did that how-to a few weeks ago. By the way, I have since posted about some problems I have had, and they have been traced to (I am pretty positive) a faulty battery. It looks clean. Get short-stalks up front to complete the look. I can also send you some pictures of my rear fender completely chopped. It makes the bike look much better, IMHO.

So the eBay one has LED bulbs, and mine is stock. That and about $80 are the only differences.

I would really like to have a LED break light but I don't want the rear signal light integrated into the break light. Can you just hook in the LED break light?

BOSS500

What do you all think about the safety of this?  Think the visability of one side of the brake light blinking is enough compared to a stock separate light?

Been thinking of going this route with a clear lense so turn signal will still blink amber(more visable I am thinking) just weighing the pros-cons before I take the plunge :)

That what I was think too T&A-GS, I just want the break light to be LED. Im thinking about getting those LED bulbs like zukiGS500 did.

bargovic

I dont like those LED bulbs zukiGS500 got. they aren't as bright.  and as far as the saftey thing, if i were in a car, id see stalk blinkers over the integrated one.

after giving it thought, and seeing the pics, im staying with the stock lights until i see something nicer out there.

I'd have to agree.  Since there's no such thing as safe, or at least according to my family.  I'm most concerned about mitigating risk.  I think that having wider spaced, brighter tail lights and signals would increase your visibility and therefore be favorable.

I'm looking to add a new horn to my bike to to improve survivability.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Are the signal mounted to the body on a "F"
cus those holes from the signals will be gone with a fenderrectomy, if their mounted to that big black ungly fender

Been thinking of this since I last posted and the comparison might have to be seen in person.

LEDS have a much quicker and abrupt on/off which makes them more noticable BUT...

They also need to be seen straight-on to ge the full brightness, kinda like a projector headlamp.  If they are well angle dispersed it might be better but its hard to say without seeing in person.

The separation of the stock or at least near stock located turns still has to be easiest to determine at a glance the intended action.

Hmmm.....

Hey T&A-GS
Are you talking about the Intrgrated LED with turn-signal inside them or the LED bulbs that zukiGS500 was talking about when you said...

But I what to know which what your talking about, The LED bulbs or the intrgated LED with turn signals inside them.

blue05twin

Clear Alternatives also has just the led for the brake light while you keep the stock turn signlas.  Here is the website.

Even if the voices aren't real they have some good ideas.

Hey blue05twin
Are those LED brake light the same as zukiGS500 LED bulb just without the clear brake houseing?

blue05twin

The ones I have are a little different.  I got the intergrator so the led area is a bit larger.  Also to there is an extra pos wire comming out of the back that hooks up to your turn signals.  The one he shows would be good if you wanted led brake lights and keep your stock turn signals tho.

Yeah that basicly what Im trying to do, keep the stock turn signals.
