One of my favorite sea critters, the mantis shrimp



The eyes of these Crustaceans have eight classes of visual pigments for detection of color, as well as additional classes of visual pigments for sensing the polarization and distribution of light. In addition, they have the ability of depth perception with a single eye.
Humans have a measly 3 classes of visual pigments for color detection (fewer in color blind folks)

Actually you don't want to get to close these guys. They are the best "punchers" in the animal kingdom. They can punch out aquarium glass when they are pissed off.
