Not me.

A buddy who has ridden on and off for most of his life is ready to take the plunge again.  He's not sure what he wants yet, but wants to buy his first new bike.  He was wondering how much dealers would come off the price of '05 models since it's near the end of the riding season and the '06's are coming out soon.  I told him I didn't know the answer, but that I did know where to ask.

I'm not sure how much they'd come off the price, they might not at all. Considering the riding season is just about over and they're probably desperate to make sales once its 2006 your friend will be able to get a decent deal I'd suspect, especially if he has several dealers/suppliers competing. At the very least he should be able to get a bonus with the sale, maybe a cover or discount on a helmet.

it all depends on location, time of year, particular stealership/individual salesman....
