1.) Pandy you are not a hippo.

2.) Somedays I dont feel like being nice.

3.)  You have to weed the stupid out early, or at least that is the conclusion Davipu and I came to the other night.

Quote from: crustyNarcissus, how do you dump your bike that many times?   I let my 13 year old ride around for an hour yesterday for the first time and no dumps.
The only time  (thank GOD)  I ever dumped was on my DR650 on the dirt track.

#1 First day I had it and I went out for a quick ride around my block and all was good until I cam into my steep driveway too fast, hit the big bump where the driveway meets the street, grabbed the front brakes hard, lost my balance and dumped it.

#2 Third day I had it I was trying to walk it across my sloped lawn and I was on the higher side so when I grabbed the front brake too hard it leaned too far for me to pull it back.

#3 Fourth day I came on the front brake too hard when I was trying to park infront of my house, it bottomed out and fell towards the curb. I put my foot out to try and save myself but my foot was too close to the bike to offer much psuhing power so I quickly pulled my leg out and laid it down on the curb.

Having said that I'm no longer a brake-happy newb and I haven't dumped it since. The GS came out of all those experiences with only some scratches on the handle bar ends, the mirrors and the pulse generator cover, I think thats what its called, but whatever it is it doesn't look like it says "Suzuki" on it anymore.

Wow, that sounds about like me..   Except I drove through the limbs of a tree (ouch) in the dealer parking lot the day i got it, not 10 minutes after i got it... lol  Yea, I had never ridden before and got a little too comfortable too early and then lost it, jumped off the back and let the bike go...  bike went through the bushes and I went through the limbs.  Got away with a few scrapes and injured pride, but rode it home with no incident.

One thing I can say about it is, it's all down hill from here...  I after some situations like the ones you had above, I really don't care if I drop it.  Just so it doesn't break anything I'm good.  Scratches and scrapes are no longer an issue...   :dunno:

You should have told her the only spare helmet you have goes inside her after the ride.
